Country Care Link
Country Care Link has been assisting rural families since 1992. The Service provides support and hospitality to country people visiting Sydney for medical purposes. Outreach volunteers make the experience of coming from country areas of NSW to the city a less traumatic, more personal one through providing:
- A volunteer to meet country people in Sydney and providing transport to medical appointments and/or accommodation;
- Assistance to find inexpensive short-term accommodation in the city for country people;
- Referrals for legal assistance;
- Confidential personal counselling;
- A referral service to find information;
- A friendly voice for a chat;
- Visits to country people in hospital.
