Safe Haven
Safe Haven provides a safe family atmosphere for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. This 24 hour service provides short-term crisis accommodation, given with love and compassion.
What is Domestic Violence? Any abusive behaviour used by one partner in a relationship to gain and maintain control over another's life. It can be physical, sexual, psychological, emotional, social isolation, financial or anything that causes you to live in fear. It occurs between married or de-facto partners, same sex couples, siblings, children and parents. Domestic violence occurs across all cultures, social classes and ages. |
