You can help
Outreach is a Volunteer-based organisation, encouraging and supporting people who share who they are and what they have with those in need.
The diverse Services offered by Outreach could not reach as many people without the generosity of our Volunteers.
We need YOU!!!
Currently numbering approximately 200, our Volunteers form the ‘backbone' of the Service. Recognizing their vital function, we make every effort to ensure that each volunteer has an opportunity to use his/her unique gifts and talents to benefit our community.
Roles of Volunteers
Outreach believes in giving its volunteers every opportunity to use their skills appropriately. You may find yourself:
- Visiting the socially isolated, disabled, frail, aged, and giving respite to carers;
- Transporting our country friends from airports/stations to medical appointments and/or accommodation, or assisting in the office with the administrative work of this service;
- Counselling (for those who are qualified in this vocation);
- Supporting fundraising activities through our shop, raffle and/or market days;
- Helping in the courts by being a friendly face and listening ear;
- Assisting in parent education programs;
- Helping at the domestic violence crisis accommodation for mothers and children;
- Assisting with administrative tasks at our different services.
These are just a few of the many rewarding Volunteer positions at Outreach, to be found in our Services of Country Care Link, Court Support, Eastern Area Visit Program, Parent Support Program, Safe Haven, and South West Visit Program.

You will find yourself making a difference, making friends, learning about yourself and others and being personally rewarded.
"Even saying a sympathetic few words or cooking something for them makes a difference."
